Bricsys Brand video

Going from small to big, and from 2D to 3D in a video campaign that explores the world of CAD software.

We worked on a 7 video campaign for BricsCAD, employing motion design to explain how the various products developed by this client work, from 2D or 3D CAD Design, to Building Information Modelling or Mechanical design. Each product got a designated video exploring its features, advantages and various possibilities in a straight forward and professional manner, so as to better appeal to the target public - architects, engineers, builders or designers.

We created teams of small, dynamic characters, placing them in various work and corporate environments so as to better represent the various professions the videos addressed. Using anthropomorphic, regular shapes we gave the characters an adult look, matching them with the primary colours that made up the palette for this project. Grain added substance to a world largely made out of simplified interfaces and detailed tools.

Representing a 3D software using a 2D visual language was an interesting design challenge for this series, and occasionally we opted for flat animation scenes that would develop into 3D, without using anything other than the good old After Effects software.
