Nature.org Motion film

We crafted a motion design film for The Nature Conservancy, where design meets poetry — narrated by Kate Walsh and shaped through textures and natural palettes.

For this new chapter in our ongoing collaboration with The Nature Conservancy, we crafted a motion design film that introduces the organization’s mission and global impact: a poetic, brand-level piece narrated by Kate Walsh (like, what?!). Created to be used across events and social media, the video positions TNC as a leading voice in conservation, innovation, and environmental awareness, highlighting how design and storytelling can make complex ideas feel both human and accessible. We wanted the visuals to feel alive and connected to the natural world. The palette draws from The Nature Conservancy’s signature colors — deep greens, warm neutrals, ocean blues — and becomes a reflection of balance between people and planet. To bring warmth and texture, we introduced painterly strokes and organic gradients, creating subtle layers that give the video a tactile, human feel. These brush textures soften the clean shapes of the illustrations, adding emotion and movement to every frame. We thought the motion as a flow — smooth transitions, linear rhythms, and compositions that echo natural patterns. The typography and pacing stay minimal and elegant, designed to support Amanda’s words: powerful, intimate, and full of emotion. Every choice — from timing to transitions — was made to let the message breathe and resonate. We also extended the collaboration with Forces of Nature, a second film narrated by Amanda Gorman, celebrating the strength and creativity of women driving climate action.

Nature isn’t just part of the story — it’s embedded in the design. Organic shapes, light shifts, and smooth transitions mirror natural patterns, creating a subtle sense of harmony between visuals and environment.

The characters stay minimal yet expressive, defined by blue skin tones and gentle movement. They don’t just inhabit the world — they merge with it. In motion, their silhouettes become masks filled with textures and footage, turning each figure into a living frame.

a special cut of the video was showcased on giant screens in Seoul as part of Afterglow Seoul, a public exhibition curated by Innovation Art that transforms commercial advertising spaces into open-air art galleries.
